I’m new to Staten Island and was told about Big Al’s from someone doing work on my house,I now get food from them all the time ,love this place
I have been eating at Big Al's pizza for years and by far they are the most consistently good pizza with a great value at all times. They have the same specials they had for nearly a decade when everyone went up in prices, they still have the same deals, 4 heroes or wraps for $20, 2 Medium Pies $12.99. It's not just deals, they have delicious food, delicious quality cheese and excellent homemade sauce.
The deep dish pizza is the best on SI. Great Chicken parm hero. Catering is great. Very tasty pizza. Great assortment of pizza. Tony is the best

I ordered the 2 entree special for 16.99 being it was a special I figured they would be cheap with the food. But instead I got a great portion for a great price and it was delicious. I would definitely order from here again !!

It's so funny yet so sad how posters on SILIVE are so outdated with good pizza. I don't think I have seen one post regarding Big Al's, all you see is "Lee's", "Denino's", and some other places. This review is not to post anything bad about those, but to try and show how good Big Al's really is. Okay the pizzeria does not have a "Yuppie" fan base of "Yelpers" who run home to write a review, Big Al's fan base consists of people who enjoy simply good delicious pizza either on a regular basis or once in a while. Big Al's pizza is for number one very different than the average "Slice" in any neighborhood in Staten Island. Try one of their regulars It's already a bit thicker than average and you will see this somewhat "Underground" to the web pizzeria serves a top notch slice that is hard to compete with. Everything is straight up to the point at Big Al's, Grilled Chicken Wrap with Roasted Peppers is priced right yet tastes delicious. Weekly specials are hard to beat Sunday to Wednesday ones. Their specialty slices or even pies just have that comfort cozy feeling that is not had everywhere else. What's even better is Great Kills has a lot of EXCELLENT pizza spots, and for some reason each one has their own specialty - and each one is probably 4 - 5 stars, so this review is not to say Big Al's is the best in Great Kills, but Big Al's definitely does what it is set to do and it does it really well. I have been ordering from them for about 10 years and the quality has been consistent every time.

5 Words: Wish they were open now - Out of all of the pizzeria's on Staten Island, for some reason I would love a Big Al's regular slice, I am wishing for it now.

i live around the corner from this awesome pizzaria. Being a past owner of a pizzaria myself i only used polly-o mozzarella cheese. I HATE GREASY PIZZA! they use the same and for that thumbs up. many places use cheap mozzarella the highest cost of the pie thinking they can make money, but we are not stupid folks! I also told him a trick or "secret ingredient" to add to the dough that was passed to me from my father, and its yummy.

Staten Island is full of pizzerias on every block, each with it's own twist on preparation and flavor. In great kills there are plenty of great pizzerias and I haven't really ever had a "BAD" place. Big Al's is excellent for the Chicago Style Pan crust and have been in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember.

The Pizza with the bread crumbs is the best around in fact I dont think I have ever had it like that anywhere else

Not your traditional New York pizza and I'm a pizza/Italian food snob, but this pizza is delicious! Like it says Chicago style, but you can choose thin crust or thick, I personally always want thin but it's not thin where you can't taste it like usual pizzerias. It's still a little doughy, sauce has an amazing taste and cheese is delicious to melt it altogether in pizza heaven! Monday-Wednesday 2 medium pies $11.99 Or 2 large for $16.99 Can't beat those specials .... You won't be disappointed !

First the wraps and pizza is probably the best on Staten Island, had a philly cheese steak once was the best we ever had. The deals are unbeatable just overall great neighborhood pizzeria. We get the 2 wraps and large pie fir 18.50 with tax included and have dinner for two nights. Our favorite weeknight tske out spot .

We thank all the previous reviewers for helping us discover big als. The best deal in the neighborhood 18 Dollars for 2 full entrees and the food is excellent. No need for me to comment on the pizza as previous reviewers claim as it is one of the best staten island has to offer.

This is old school great kills pizza. If your friends are visiting from Chicago, they need to try staten islands, Chicago Style pizza, they will agree this is the best Chicago Style pizza they have tried better than on Chicago itself. Old school because the prices and value are what they used to be in the old days 10 to 15 years ago . Big als a favorite..

Order Online all the time, this website allows to order their weekly specials and have never experienced a glitch of them not having my order. Pizza is very good, thin crust is just right not too thin or thick, broccoli on the pizza has a perfect crunch and their deals for the early week are unbeatable.

4 wraps or heroes for $20, these are not mini wraps on my list from favorites is Philly cheese steak, chicken Marsala, eggplant with roasted peppers and fresh mozzarella and chicken parm all very good. The new $10 heroes are unfortunately not that special but stick with their regular you’ll be satisfied.
